That a four-pack of Cadbury's flakes hides beautifully in the slow cooker underneath the dish. Do with this information what you will!

If you fancy up the books on the bookshelf and pull them to the front, there is a nice dark space behind that can fit all sorts of things. If you use a dictionary, thesaurus and maybe a set of encyclopedias they will never be needed (because of google) and nothing behind will ever be found by exploring DC/DH

DustyVenetian · 11/02/2021 14:10

I hide it in the vegetable drawer in fridge if it's better cold or next or with the appliance manuals 😁

No chance anyone here will see it there !

lachy · 11/02/2021 14:10

I have a box of tampax which disguises my chocolate stash. I can think of no earthly reason why DH would consider opening a "sealed" box Grin

I really thought it was just me who hid confectionery!

That's true. When I (extraordinarily calmly) asked small DD "where is your fringe?", she didn't know. The pile of hacked off hair wasn't discovered till I did a mega clean and had all the books off the shelves a few years later. Grin

@Whatwouldscullydo DS had the same knack - he can hear a bag of crisps being opened through three walls in a thunderstorm.

Boredof2020 · 11/02/2021 14:21

I hide things under the lettuce!!!

Blobby10 · 11/02/2021 14:21

I thought that once my 3 grew up and left home that my chocolate/biscuit stash would be safe!! Last years return en masse for the first lockdown proved me wrong! They gleefully told me they had found it 😩😩 little big sods never did replace it

drumandthebass · 11/02/2021 14:25

My warming drawer is perfect for those large bags of crisps that are meant to be shared...

Aaaaaah · 11/02/2021 16:35

Ha! Love it

Onynx · 11/02/2021 16:42

I hide things in plain sight in my DS's wardrobe - he seems to prefer to use the floordrobe and it would never occur to him to open it 😆😆

Whatisthisfuckery · 11/02/2021 16:48

My DS is a particularly voracious goody thief, I have been known to hide sweets

Up the leg of my waterproof trousers that live in my bottom drawer

In the pockets of my good suits in the wardrobe

In the feet of my boots

in my guitar cases

in the big cooking pot in the cupboard

In the teapot

Up my arse... Well no, but I’ve felt it’s the only option at times.

@AdoraBell

Thank you 🙏

Now that's dedication actually ordering one for a chocolate stash 👏👏

JustanotherTuesday · 11/02/2021 16:56

I have still got a tin of M and S shortbread, hidden before Christmas, somewhere in my bedroom. I did manage to find two boxes of their cherry liqueurs last weekend in my wardrobe. They had a very short date on them so unfortunately had to be eaten very quickly Smile

mootymoo · 11/02/2021 16:58

@shinynewapple21

Salad drawer, canned food, well anything that requires preparation really - except baking ingredients because they get raided if dd is stressed, so a lot

Dollywilde · 11/02/2021 17:02

I currently have a bottle of fancy gin in the hoover cupboard, although generally because I am a slattern, it’s to stop me from getting to it 😂

chocolateisavegetable · 11/02/2021 17:21

I find that the drawer of cleaning products in the utility room is an excellent place for hiding storing chocolate

TurquoiseDragon · 11/02/2021 17:26

My stash is in my bedroom, in my bedding drawer. Single parent so no DH to worry about.

SlipperTripper · 11/02/2021 18:28

Pockets of coats hanging in the under stairs cupboard.

Also a bonus when you're on a stompy dog walk and find a forgotten Dairy Milk

Mydogisagentleman · 11/02/2021 18:49

DH hid his chocolate in the bread maker pan.
Dd left for university in September.
His dairy milk still gets put in there along with my ciggies. She was partial to taking both

DramaAlpaca · 11/02/2021 18:55

Genius, OP!

My adult DC confidently at Christmas told me they'd discovered all my secret hiding places.

Nope, they haven't. The CD storage box on the bookshelf couldn't possibly contain anything other than obsolete CDs, now could it? Wink

citygirlinwellies · 11/02/2021 19:20

I find a box of bran flakes or any other 'boring' cereal boxes are good hiding places.

WestendVBroadway · 11/02/2021 19:46

I have an old handbag that I no longer use that blatantly hangs on a coat hook. It often contains sweet treats nestled underneath a scarf.
