I want to go on holiday so much😣 l k ow we’re in a pandemic. I know. But l just want a little holiday....

With the Saga advert one thing I’m wondering about is we are trying to avoid a vaccine escaping variant. Does allowing a lot of older travel make that much sense atm

They're not saying they WON'T happen, just that they can't say for 100% certainty right now, for either home or abroad.

I wouldn't be booking anything for abroad in 2021 but I imagine UK holidays will go ahead over the summer months.

I hope UK holidays go ahead, the tourist economy is a big earner for the tax man when you think about it. Scotland, Wales, England, there are many towns, areas that depend on this for their income, can Rishi continue throwing money at them.

Its just too early to say. I moved my holiday from last year to this year. Its not until July. Bear in mind that we weren't even worried about covid this time last year (as in The Government). We didn't peak until April. We have already past the second peak. Let's just see what happens. If I have to move it again then that's what happens. My biggest fear is that the plane will fly off and I won't be able to get on it because of quarantines. I do have other fears not holiday related before anyone thinks that's all I have to worry about.

The actual message is for those who haven't learned by experience - if you book a holiday, don't blubber if if doesn't happen or you lose money. And don't expect the government to come and get you from abroad.

No certain dates, no guarantees. Shit but that's how it is.

I'm just quietly putting all the money aside so that we can have a fucking fantastic holiday next year when this is over.

I will spend many many Euros in tapas bars, boat trips, restaurants etc when the time comes and am looking forward to it already. Do I want to blow that money on an overpriced shit weather shit transport UK trip in the meantime? No. No, I do not.

I just want to go to the pub!

We have a fabulous pub near us. I dream of going there on a Sunday afternoon for their roast dinner, washed down with a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.
