Who are you rooting for?

It used to be people who's had a catalogue of hits but he's not really had enough to string a whole show out of them just yet.

I said the same about the people in the stadiums, it doesn't seem like a great idea.

DH just told me over half the seats (35000) are cardboard cut outs cost £100 each and puts you in a lottery for the next super bowl.

Are you all in the UK? It must be late, not even 9pm here in Montreal.

Yep, tuned in and watching the Brady masterclass (urgh, if he pulls this off I will have to concede to hubby that he really is the G.O.A.T)

Directionerforever · 08/02/2021 01:57

I’m watching, backing the Buccs, we’re Patriot fans as a rule (well DH is, me and DD have only got into it this year out of sheer boredom) and I think Tom Brady’s achievements are pretty incredible. And I like the Gronk.

safariboot · 08/02/2021 01:59

Looks like the Chiefs have choked. Silly fouls by the defense cost them and the offense has flubbed it when it counts. No quarterback can carry the whole team.

BelfastBloke · 08/02/2021 01:59

Yeah, they're cardboard cutouts, mostly.

Although the commentator did welcome 'the 5,000 vaccinated healthcare workers" that are in the stadium

KenAdams · 08/02/2021 02:03

There were lots of phone lights but I didn't hear the vaccinated health care workers bit.

Yeah its not looking good for Patrick is it.

The rest of the Chiefs haven’t really turned up. Mahomes can’t do this on his own!

BelfastBloke · 08/02/2021 02:33

not looking good

BlueThistles · 08/02/2021 02:46

I'm watching... it's great... 🎉

BlueThistles · 08/02/2021 02:49

OOOoooohhh STREAKER 😂

ZZTopGuitarSolo · 08/02/2021 02:56

I watched some of it with the family. DH and DS are Brady fans even though he defected.

I thought The Weeknd was amazing. I love his music.

Also the spread of dirty food we laid out was pretty good.

And the ads were fun.

mathanxiety · 08/02/2021 03:02

Watching to the bitter end here, waiting for the washing machine to ding.

BlueThistles · 08/02/2021 03:05

The Weekend was phenomenal ... really loved his set.. 🎉

BelfastBloke · 08/02/2021 03:18

I'm not loving all the massless people celebrating, in one of the most dangerous states in the pandemic.

Even though I'm loving watching history.

BigBadVoodooMummy · 08/02/2021 03:38

Was just coming on to ask if they don't have covid in the huggy US now?!?

I'm in Florida... it's fine 🌺

That was a not very super bowl for me. Half time show was nothing special and the audio was muddy. Game was boring by 4th quarter when it was obvious the Chiefs stood no chance.

I think Mahomes should have come off and let the backup quarterback take over. That injury was hurting him. I bet he had too much pride to accept that though.

BlueThistles · 08/02/2021 15:19

I enjoyed it... but to be fair.. its the first time I'd watched it 🤣

BlueThistles · 08/02/2021 15:19

still don't really understand the game though... is it like Rugby.. in Scotland we play Rugby lol

Cherrysoup · 08/02/2021 16:08

Good on Tom Brady, to be fair. I’m loving they got another Patriots player out of retirement to complement Brady and he passed him 3 touchdowns, massive fuck you to the Patriots! Chiefs were missing half their defence, out on injuries.

I think everyone in the stadium was vaccinated?

I heard they were all vaccinated too ... they did well given the circumstances .. 🌺

I've seen so many memes today of Pats fans watching Brady pass to Gronk. They're all sitting in dark cold rooms, crying Grin

We are going to Florida next week. Having seen the videos of people celebrating maskless in the streets we're actually changing our accommodation plans and going for places that are more self-contained, so we don't have to mix with the Covidiots any more than absolutely necessary.
