I literally do not know what to do next and I am exhausted from thinking and worrying.

DD is 17 weeks. Had some symptoms of silent reflux from the start. When she was tiny it used to take me hours to get her to sleep. After being told I couldn't see an NHS lactation consultant i went private to have her checked for tongue tie at a month - they said she didnt.

Dr prescribed me omeprazole but it made her so uncomfortable. He said he really didn't think it was reflux and that medication wasnt necessary or helpful. I phoned him again a few weeks later, told him her nappies had gone from twice a day to once every 3 days, again he said all normal.

Finally got an NHS lactation consultant at 15 weeks. She has dropped 2 centiles and had a tongue tie.

Got the tie cut this week (again private). Now pumping 5 times a day and taking domperidone to rescue my supply.

But now in the last couple of days ahe is being sick after every feed but it doesnt bother her at all. She cries before bedtime and In the evening she arches her back so badly I can barely hold her. She's waking up every 2 hours. She's only happy when she is with me.

I'm exhausted. Utterly exhausted. I'm so tired of thinking about it. I dont know what to do. I'm constantly thinking and questioning CMPA, reflux silent reflux, normal baby, under supply, over supply...

I've a toddler to look after too

Both my babies had silent reflux (same symptoms as yours) and it took ages to get a diagnosis and treatment which has caused us huge feeding issues. They're toddlers now and the reflux has gone but they're very picky eaters because of it. They start to associate feeding with pain which can overcome their natural instincts to eat so it must be sorted.

I'll tell you what we tried but keep on at your GP/Consultant to take it seriously.
Ours were only breastfed for first 2 months then we switched to formula. We checked first if it was a dairy allergy by switching them to a non dairy formula prescribed by their consultant. They were on it 6 weeks with no improvement. They went back to regular formula. We tried infocol and (prescribed) gaviscon with no luck.
We then tried carobel in their formula (you can also use for breastfed babies) which thickens the milk, along with Omeprazol. It didn't initially work so they increased the Omeprazol dose and that did the trick. They both came off it at 13 months with no issues since.
Keep on at them and good luck, there are some good Facebook groups which may help xx

Thanks. The thing is feeding doesnt seem to be causing her upset - it did for a bit but now I realise it was probably because she was struggling to get the milk because of the tie

The doctor said she would be unconsolable when feeding if it was reflux, which she isnt.

Sad

That is a big odd, am trying to remember what mine were like. I don't think they showed much discomfort while actually eating but afterwards they were really inconsolable when I lay them down (and when they vomited). I had to keep them upright at all times even when they were asleep so I got the wedgehogs for their cots (it keeps them raised and may be worth a try). At one point I had to hold one of the babies for 20 hours until their dad could relieve me, it was gruesome (that was what prompted the wedgehogs which were great). It's so worrying I know but you will get it sorted out 👍👍 could it be trapped wind?

I think it could be yes, she had a high palate so will be swallowing air.

She is even ok in her pram as long as I put something to lift her head just a little- she even fell asleep in in the other day.

But i tried to lay her on her back last night and she was wriggly and unsettled- she normally sleeps on her side with her head resting on my arm

I feel like I'm so badly letting her down Sad
