Would you have a medical professional into your home when lockdown eases?

I've had a problem with my foot for some years now. I previously went to a local private podiatry clinic who were very good and gave me an orthotic insert to wear, which helped a lot. But they said over time it would need changing.

My foot has started to hurt again so I think I need to see someone. The clinic I used previously has shut down and I've found someone local who looks well-qualified - but he only offers a mobile service and goes into people's houses.

Obviously not right now, but next month or so, if lockdown eases, would you have someone in your house? Or would you consider that too risky?

I can't decide!

If you’re not CEV I can’t see why you wouldn’t have them now if you’re in pain.

You could take sensible precautions.

If people can have a decorator in I’m sure you can have a medical professional in

I would have a medical professional in now, if I felt I needed it.

I'd have them in now. I've been very careful and compliant, but assuming they're allowed in, within the rules, I wouldn't wait in pain.

Absolutely would have them now if needed and have already. She couldn't have been more PPEd up unless she wore a full bio hazard suit!

Very professional and no cause for concern for us.

Yeah, it's funny. I see a private physio in a clinic and don't think twice about it. But they are super-hot on infection control and obviously it's only me coming into contact with them.

I have small children and unless I locked them in the kitchen or something, they'd totally come and have a shufti at a podiatrist turning up in the living room!

I'd have them in right now if I was in pain. It's balancing a potential risk against a definite gain.

Really Bubbles? Wow! Maybe I should contact this guy and ask if he'll be in full PPE!

Basically, when I was pregnant with my twins, I did something to one leg (tendon-y) and that's why i'm seeing a physio, but it also seems to have done something subtle to my gait, and I get dull pain when I put my foot down. I think it may just be a bunion developing - my grandma had them - but worried about it getting worse.

Yes of course, I'd have them in now. Assuming you aren't CEV what's the issue?

My very elderly parents have continued having chiropodist visits throughout lockdown, their chiropodist was happy to come to the home.

Yup I watched her get out her car; stand over her boot. sanitise her hands, put on a pvc apron, mask and then once she was onsite and placed her bags down she put on her gloves.
They sit your legs length away so not too close and she had called a head and asked me to wear a mask if I would be willing.

She didn't have her usual cup of tea.

Felt very safe and happy.

Okay, I'll do it! I'm convinced Smile
