Dishwasher Tabs

To set the scene for a question.

So we all scrape food off the plate before putting it in the dishwasher (Stops the filter getting clogged). Then there's dried bits of gravy. I'm a bit lazy and therefore end up left to the next day

Which product "full name where poss" in your opinion, is the best at getting dried bits off. EG:-Does finish Quantum really work? Or do you have a better product that you buy?

At the risk of giving a very MN answer, you just need to move house, or get a vair expensive plumbed in water filtration system.

We don't scrape plates, often leave the washing up for a day or two, rinse the filter about once a year and use cheap all in ones from Aldi or Lidl and it's rare that anything comes out not clean and I put it down to our softer than soft water. Dishwashers, kettles and washing machines last 10-15 years too.

The closest I get to dishwasher maintenance is to always use the normal cycle, never eco or quick rinse and maybe run through a cleaning product (cheap Aldi version of course) whenever I remember and usually after it's full of grease because I've just washed the grill trays in there.
