We've got into the habit of watching a sitcom while we eat every evening with DS (nearly 14). So far we've watched the whole of 'Friday Night Dinner' (his favourite by far), 'Ghosts', 'The IT Crowd' and 'Speechless' but we're not sure what to watch next. We tried 'Father Ted' but he wasn't keen on the first episode. I've got 'Bad Education' on my list on Netflix but I've never seen it - is it any good? Any other suggestions?

Superstore, it’s so ridiculous it’s funny

Brooklyn 99 was a huge hit - he actually wanted to watch a second episode even though he'd finished his food and would normally have been back up to his boy-cave like a whippet!

My DDs 13 and 15 like King Gary and Mister Winner. And One Foot in the Grave!

Me and my 12 yr old loved What we do in the shadows (the series, not the film)

DH has got DS (18) into Cheers over lockdown which he had never seen before. He's loved it!

Brooklyn 99 is fab.
The Good Place
Parks & Rec
US Office
Community (although he is a bit young for a lot of the references)
Bad Education is brilliant but VERY explicit.
Derry Girls (can’t remember if it’s sweary - possibly a bit)

Puffinhead · 01/02/2021 19:18

This Country is also brilliant but depends on how old your DC as there’s lots of swearing.

MySaladDays75 · 01/02/2021 19:19

Parks and Rec

My dds love outnumbered and Miranda. Oh and modern family.

ThIs Country. I didn't let my then 13yo watch the Peeping Tom episode (too dark, too rude) but he loved the rest.
He was told to not repeat any of it.

They both thought Charlie Brookers Viral Wipe was hilarious. Might still be on iPlayer.
