Recipe ideas and how to organise

Anyone got a foolproof system for this? I see meal ideas and recipes everywhere but haven't figured out a good way of collating them in one place.

There's websites, cook books, magazines, people's IG stories! I'm always taking photos on my phone then forgetting. Help!

I use Pinterest for online ones and a pink folder in the kitchen for ones I clip out of magazines or print from the internet.

Pinterest, never thought of that! Can you literally add anything to it? Screenshots, web links etc?

I use recipe keeper, you can try 10 recipes for free and you can save internet links, as well as hand written, magazine and book recipes and it will convert the text so you can search for ingredients etc. You can use the book pictures or take/upload your own if it’s a handwritten recipe for example

I have seen paprika recommended too but I don’t believe it does the text conversion, although I may be wrong

We try them out and if they work we write them in a family recipe book.

That's probably the way forward if you're starting from scratch but I have so many already saved I'm not sure I can be bothered to write them all down Grin

I also use Pinterest. You can create your own pin if you find something you like on a website etc, or you can search within the app. It is now my go to - even if I want a Good Food or Nigella or whatever recipe I usually start with Pinterest and just search e.g. Yorkshire puddings Nigella. PS my phone reeeeeally wants me to write Nigeria. It is being very persistent.

Yes, you either make your own pin, with your own picture, or with a website link, or as PP says you add a pin to your own board that is already there. I usually do a search to see if someone else has already pinned the recipe as it’s slightly easier than making a pin myself. I do the same for books I want to read!

I use bookmark folders on my phone for recipes I find online. I have a Chicken folder, Fish folder, etc. It works well for me.

I use Evernote
