I mean really...

I will admit I had a very unprofessional snigger at work when I saw it

Haha! Not sure I would fancy nibbling on one to be honest with that name!

Touloser · 30/01/2021 09:42

I think that's probably the whole point. It's a talking point, would be eye catching on the shelf, and you wouldnt forget the name!

Touloser · 30/01/2021 09:43

They also sell little peckers... so definitely intentional

Soubriquet · 30/01/2021 09:44

Could you imagine your mum saying “go to Tesco’s and get me some willies will you”

I don't know- if someone asked me to get them some veggie sausages but didn't specify the brand, I'd probably get them (that might say more about my sense of humour than anything else though!)

It's probably very smart marketing towards younger (late teens to early 30s) veggies and vegans

Makes me think of wee Willie winkies sausages. Used to have them as a child. Maybe just a Scottish thing?

It's a bit like Sandy Balls holiday park. I'm sure it was named in more innocent times, but if I were to go, I don't think I could tell anyone about what a fantastic time I'd had there without sniggering. It puts me off visiting. They should rename it Sandy Shores, Sandy Shells or similar.

To get attention? No publicity is bad publicity apparently.
