Please can someone recommend one? I loathe my kitchen floor. It's 15m long but partly a galley kitchen
I don't particularly want something that is too clever WiFi - wise - I've got time to set it manually then disappear for a bit
None of the top rated ones I found on google search are names at all familiar from MN
And must have mop function

I have a irobot mop it only mops you can get ones that hoover as well. Its pretty good (I hate mopping the floor so anything is going to be good IMO). The key is to use it daily as it wont get clean really filthy floors. I also have a robotic hoover that is bloody brilliant.

Thank you @gettinglonginthetooth
I'm not bothered if I need to do it daily or do it twice on some days! I have the time
What model is it please? The array is bewildering and a dedicated mop may be cheaper and better than a mop/vacuum hybrid?

Its this one although we definitely didn't pay that much for it more like £160. I can't remember where we got of from.

I felt a robotic mop/hoover had a greater potential to go wrong bit like a washer dryer, I could be wrong of course. Also the battery on both need charging fairly regularly so it makes sense to have one of each.
Its much smaller than the robotic hoover I just leave to on the corner of our utility room no one would even know its there.

I have that Braava Jet.

It's pretty good at keeping the worst at bay but some things to consider:

  • it is cheaper in the long run to buy the reusable pads but I found them pretty expensive upfront
  • it is also better/easier to have a spare battery so you can have one charging while one is in use, otheriwse I found it was always flat when I wanted to use it. That's more £.
  • over time it leaves a line of dirt right at the edge of some floors (the ones with a skirting edge) which needs elbow grease to remove
  • you still need to clean the floor yourself every now and again, to really get it properly clean
  • on wooden floors the wheels do leave faint track marks where the water has dried, so it's not a flawless finish

I really like mine (I know it doesn't sound like it) because otherwise our floors are always covered in muddy paw prints. But it's not magic. Sadly.

Thank you for this thread! I’ve been begging hubby for a robot mop!

I have braava 390 - no fancy wifi or app connections, just press the button. You can use any microfibre cloth if you cut them to right size, not limited to branded ones. No complaints, does a surprisingly good job and was super cheap.

Just following - got a roomba - had him for about 8 years and love him. Been thinking about a mop...

Thank you all! I'll get DH on to it tonight. Not because I'm incapable but he does enjoy fannying around looking for the best deals

^^This.
My robotic hoover has transformed my life and my house, my robotic mop is great to have but as *TastyTicklemore" says "its not magic".
