Dog waste in neighbours bin

Rude or acceptable?

Grim (I don’t trust the bags not to break)

VegemiteIsToasty · 24/01/2021 08:50

Rude!

Swingometer · 24/01/2021 08:51

Rude unless you have asked permission. Put it in your own bin.

I couldn't get too upset about a passer by putting in my bin (as long as securely bagged) but a neighbour has no reason to use my bin when they have their own right there

JemimaRacktool · 24/01/2021 08:51

Putting anything in someone elses bin is rude. Dog shit is very rude.

I clean my wheelie bin. I know what I have and have not put in it. I like it that way.

TierFourTears · 24/01/2021 08:59

Use your own bin.

evouk · 24/01/2021 09:00

Rude and not acceptable. Use your own bloody bin

Cairnterrorist · 24/01/2021 09:00

Rude. Not on.

BlowDryRat · 24/01/2021 09:03

Yuck. No.

Topseyt · 24/01/2021 09:07

Very rude indeed. Put your dog's shit in your own bin.

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 24/01/2021 09:08

Why would anyone use their nervous bin? Why not just put it in your own?

paintedpanda · 24/01/2021 09:10

We got a ring doorbell for Christmas and have since noticed the next door neighbours putting their dogs waste in our bin.
I find it quite funny when we catch them on the camera but I do think it's rude, especially when they have their own bin (and they pay to get it cleaned). We can't say anything as they put our bins out every other week. This isn't something we asked them to do, they did it for DP before I moved in and have continued to do so.
I'm not terribly upset by it. This is a lighthearted thread. I just wondered what everyone else thought so I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking it's rude. I always have a good laugh when I see them on the camera though! Grin

Rude!

ScrumptiousBears · 24/01/2021 09:15

Unacceptable and you think it's ok as they drag your bin out for you?

Beautiful3 · 24/01/2021 09:21

Get a bin lock. If they ask" why?" say, "someone keeps putting dog poo in it and it stinks!"

pilates · 24/01/2021 09:23

Not on at all. In the summer it will start to stink. Just ask them not to.

badacorn · 24/01/2021 09:53

Agree with @Beautiful3
The fact they get their own bin cleaned makes this worse, CFs

Cornettoninja · 24/01/2021 09:59

Do you have garden waste/food bins? Start using theirs for yours.

kowari · 24/01/2021 10:05

That's disgusting and extremely rude. Dog poo stinks even through the bag.

SmellyPooHead · 24/01/2021 10:09

I'd get a bin lock too. Then see if the favour continues. They probably see it as a pay off

fruitpastille · 24/01/2021 10:18

Just politely ask them if they could please not use your bin for dog waste. No need to make a big thing about it.

Theunamedcat · 24/01/2021 10:20

I would be tempted to say I can see you?

nimbuscloud · 24/01/2021 10:24

Why are they putting your bins out? Why are you not telling them that you can put them out yourself?

Gliblet · 24/01/2021 10:28

Rather depends if they're happy to extend the cleaning service to do your bins as well, doesn't it? If not, I think I'd be developing a regular shellfish habit once the weather warms up. Now, what to do with all those shells and trimmings... Wink

We have a dog so I don't particularly care if someone else puts something smelly in our bins (in fact it's preferable to them dropping litter or leaving a poo bag hanging in a tree Hmm ), but that's our choice, and it's very different to maybe slipping a few extra bits of recycling in on collection morning.

Cairnterrorist · 24/01/2021 10:29

Why can’t you just start putting out your own bins?

DenisetheMenace · 24/01/2021 10:29

Rude
