What else?

Oh and there was “Cheese or Service Station” someone else did. Classic!

UpShuttheFuck · 22/01/2021 17:11

Gargling a famous song (using a glass of water) is also very silly.

DuckonaBike · 22/01/2021 17:14

We had a good one with 10 kinds of chocolate bar (Twix, Mars etc) cut in half and you had to identify them from the picture of the cross section.

AnneOfCleavage · 22/01/2021 17:15

We did a quiz back in the first lockdown and we devised a World Record round (basically it was just guesswork, no knowledge involved so was geared for all participants) where we chose some funny world records and the quiz participants had to guess how many, how long etc Eg: how many household pegs can be pinned to the face excluding the ears, lips hair. The results were hilarious and made for a great talking point after the quiz - all friends playing. Sometimes we gave points based on the nearest 10 or 100 etc depending on how hard the world record was 😆

ILoveAnOwl · 22/01/2021 17:15

Foot or Foot. You do close ups and people have to guess if its a picture of a foot, or the 80's politician Michael Foot. It sounds very odd but was actually very, very funny.

Ulelia · 22/01/2021 17:18

10 pictures of Will Smith. For each one, guess how old he is in the photo. Impossible!

Lsquiggles · 22/01/2021 17:18

I'm stealing all of these Grin

TheChosenTwo · 22/01/2021 17:39

Brilliant suggestions, some really interesting fun ones - I don’t know about you but I kind of groan now every time someone mentions a zoom quiz (although I’ve learnt some great new facts!), they’re all just so samey after a year of weekly quizzes - sometimes more often!
I’m going to be looking back through this as it’s our turn to host soon. Should be able to shake things up a bit.

Standrewsschool · 22/01/2021 17:53

Letters round - ie. the answer is a letter of the alphabet.

Eg, Roman numeral for 50 - L
Infection rate of Covid - R
Unit of force in physics - N

Etc

I like the sound of this

My favourite ever round of a zoom quiz was "sink or float". Take some amusing random objects and get people to predict whether they will sink or float. I thought it would be really easy but it's really surprising what things will float and what will sink.

One of the funniest and sparked the most debate on a recent work quiz was pictures of the pattern on different types of Greggs pasty Grin Apparently they're all different. The person who won didn't know whether to proud or embarrassed Grin

PuppyMonkey · 22/01/2021 17:59

I once took part in a great pub quiz where one of the rounds was identifying various British telephone dialling zones. I bloody smashed it. Grin

PuppyMonkey · 22/01/2021 17:59

Dialling codes I mean!

MeOldBamboo · 22/01/2021 18:05

I love the idea of the Will Smith one, brilliant!

Cosyjimjamsforautumn · 22/01/2021 18:09

We did one round lasy night that was foreign cities east or west from greenwich. Harder than you think in western europe and africa!

PurpleSproutingSomething · 22/01/2021 18:11

If you look at joe.co.uk they do a pub quiz every week, and they have all 250+ on there. A great idea for some questions.

PurpleSproutingSomething · 22/01/2021 18:12

Ikea product names, real or made up are also a good one.

Dancingdolphins · 22/01/2021 18:12

We did one recently- some rounds that worked well were-

Merged peoples faces with a celeb - surprisingly hard to guess

Birdseye views of landmarks

Anagram selfie round- give an anagram and they have to be the first to unscramble it and send a selfie with that item. Happy to send you them if you pm me.

stodgystollen · 22/01/2021 18:14

Pick a phrase and translate it into 10 languages, then guess the languages.

EduCated · 22/01/2021 18:15

Depending on your audience, we had a Dead or Alive round that caused a lot of debate Blush

Also who said it: Trump or Homer Simpson.

toolazytothinkofausername · 22/01/2021 18:15

Name that song from a line of lyric.

"There's a fire starting in my heart, Reaching a fever pitch and it's bringing me out the dark"

Answer: Rolling in the Deep, Adele.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 22/01/2021 18:23

Names of chemical elements that don't end in -ium or -ine, or 4-letter elements
3-letter body parts
Smallest countries in each continent by area/population
(Check out Sporcle.com for all sorts of quizzes, including the above)
If everybody's London based lots of scope for quizzes about Tube stations - this would be a good start: www.mylondon.news/news/zone-1-news/40-london-underground-quiz-questions-18158692

ninja · 22/01/2021 20:16

Dog toy or sex toy - lots of these quizzes around!

covetingthepreciousthings · 22/01/2021 20:49
