Kamakazi Blackbird... what can I do?

Need advice after 4hrs of listening to kamakazi blackbird!!! Wfh in the kitchen and blackbird flew into my patio doors, closed the curtains and he turned to flying into the kitchen window... closed the blind and he went to upstairs bedroom window. Closed these curtains and he's back at my patio door. I'm attached to 2 empty houses who both also have patio doors, back windows, but because they're empty there are no curtains.

The noise is driving me crazy and the poor thing is going to knock himself out... any advice on how I can get the little guy to stop?

Sorry, meant to say that he's also flying into the neighbours doors and windows as well... they poor guy is relentless

It is a territorial thing imo, he doesn't have a sense of self so any reflection of him = intruder, rahhr.

A falcon sticker/silhouette might help dissuade him? I'll find a link.

(Hilariously the first bunch of hits were Star Wars related Grin )

@FlibbertyGiblets Haha! Maybe a millennium Falcon would scare him off 😂 He is absolute relentless, there is a "Thump, Thump, Thump" noise every 30 seconds, honestly sounds like there's building work, his noggin has got to be sore 🙈 Great idea about the sticker, 1 house is totally empty and no idea where the owner is so as long as it's removable this could work. Have contact details for the other owner and I'm sure they wouldn't mind me putting a sticker on the door...

Also dont want to do anything that would scare the birds off completely, I have such an amazing variety in the garden and birdwatching has become a bit of a lockdown hobby!

Thank you so much @FlibbertyGiblets - those ones do say permanent so assume they would need to be scrapped off? Maybe not ideal for my neighbours houses but I'm sure I'll find ones that are removable!

Thank you so much again, had no idea these things existed! 🙌🏻

Hopefully the outline of a bird of prey or owl will make him stop, but blackbirds aren't territorial at this time of year, only when they have young. In winter they flock together.

You dont have to be very arty to draw one and cut it out of a bin liner.

Great idea @Thelnebriati and would make a good little activity to do with DS this weekend! Thank you!

They are fooled by quite a crude outline so dont worry about making it look realistic.
