Do you view a year as a long time

A year ago feels like ages but at the same time feels like it’s gone by so quick.

I viewed a year as a long time when I was younger.

6 weeks holiday stretched forever in front and the last 4 years of my teens; each one was long because so much happened.

Now in my 60s - it's different. A year looking forward is a long time but a year looking back disappears.

I also find that the more you do in a given period the quicker it seems to pass and the less you do the more slowly it seems to pass but looking back the reverse is true. A holiday where I did lots, is remembered as having lasted for ages whereas one where I did little seems to have flown by.

I used to. But feels less so now. Even though for the last year I've been doing very little!

They definitely go quicker than they did when I was younger.

Really depends what you are measuring by the time? A relationship I would consider to be pretty early days at the one year mark. A one year long movie though I would consider to be quite long.

I also suppose it depends on your circumstances as well doesn't it. Walking barefoot on lego pieces - a year- unbearable. But swanning about on a luxury boat, would fly by. But yes when I was a kid , a year seemed like forever, but now it just flies by, almost without catching my breath1

I think I read somewhere that there is a mathematical formula which proves that the years pass quicker as you age. Something to do with your life stretching ahead of you when you are young but most of it being behind you when you are old. The hill in ‘over the hill’ perhaps.
