Do you use your dishwasher for anything other than the usual?

I've unloaded the dishwasher and I thought I'm sure I can use this for other things. I know some have used it for vodka, what do you put in your dishwasher that's not the norm?

Washing up brush
Barbecue racks
Fridge shelves and drawers

I once tried to clean the filter from the extractor fan in the dishwasher but it ruined the metal and made them tarnish
So I just stick to normal dishwasher stuff now 😭

Dishwasher Vodka.

Pour a measure of vodka out of the bottle and put Sweets, chocolate in. Wrap in cling film and put through a wash. Flavoured vodka.

No detergent obvz

I used to wash stirrup irons and bits in mine

a dishwasher makes a wonderful car and motorbike parts washer...dont tell the wife though

I've washed baseball caps in the dishwasher after reading a tip about it. Works brilliantly and doesn't make them floppy at all

Why would anyone cook food in a dishwasher ?
I throw in plastic toys , oven rack , bath toys .

My dog eats out of it

Ikea high chair. Came out lovely and clean

The pop up plugs from the bathroom.

The washing machine drawer.

The cooker hood filter things.

Plastic waste bins from other rooms.

I was just going to say highchair. That was part of the beauty of the antilop.

DH tried to do the BBQ rack, but it wouldn't fit.

Toilet brush discussions usually bring up at least one person who claims to put theirs in the dishwasher (and one I can't forget, unfortunately, someone who said they took their old one - wrapped in a plastic bag though, in their handbag, to the shops to choose a replacement that would fit in the holder ....)

I worked in a Little Chef when I was a student. There were hundreds of foul plastic plants, which were meant to be dusted from time to time. We used to shove them in the industrial dishwasher

The reason why people cook salmon in a dishwasher is because of the size of a whole salmon. You wrap in in foil.

You don't put a dishwasher tablet in though (or a toilet brush).

Horse tack-bits and stirrups come out lovely

Nadia sawalha from loose women once said she uses the dishwasher to wash her mooncup (for periods) 🤢

I've used it to wash Lego in nets.
