I miss my kindle but the cost of the books I want to read are too expensive

I keep an eye on the offers and buy the books I want when they are 99 p.

I've had hundreds of books at this price.

If mine broke I would prioritise getting a new one.

I have a Kobo e-reader. Got that rather than a Kindle simply because I can download library books from our council library service on Borrow Box

I love my paperwhite. Can adjust the brightness and the size of the font so easily.

I do like ‘proper’ books, too, as long as they’re not too heavy to read in bed, and don’t have very small print. Downside is needing a good bedside light, too - so often inadequate if you’re away from
home.

The cost of books is what motivates me, dh is reading a book printed on cheap paper and the ink isn’t great. It’s not like years ago when paper was white and the ink was black.

It’s half price of you get it on kindle.

I tried borrowbook but they didn’t seem to do the sort of thing I was interested in.

Not RTFT so apologies if been suggested but you can change the paper colour on the app to sepia, which makes a massive difference

I want the paperwhite because it's waterproof for reading when in the bath or by the pool. Don't think the standard one is waterproof?

EmmanuelleMakro · 19/01/2021 19:29

Love the ability to read in the dark!

paperwhite can also be read outside in direct sunlight
