Selling/buying a house that somebody died in

The “body in the rose garden” thread got me thinking - would it bother you buying a house where someone died? Would you want to know? I’m talking nice, peaceful death, not anything gruesome.

Asking really because my dad passed away at home in his sleep 8 weeks ago, and I’m going to have to sell his house at some point - do I need to mention he died at home? I don’t think it would bother me, but would it bother other people?
@1990s are you sure that's not the Estate Agent equivalent of "he's gone to live on a farm in the countryside"?
Hahahah! A neighbour told me, otherwise that would definitely be a possibility.

My most favourite house I ever owned had one of its owners die in it but I didn't find out until I had moved in. But when I was having it checked out by a builder before I bought it he said that it had been very well maintained and cared for. The old owner absolutely love it and looked after it. And so did we.

I would expect with an older house that someone had died in it hopefully peacefully. It wouldn't put me off. It's time for another family to enjoy it now
