Anyone doing the Cambridge diet 1:1 in 2021?

So I have started and just completed day 1. I want to loose 4.5 stone. I have had a bit of a headache and felt low in energy. I have kept but and my head in a book I am reading to not go to the kitchen and have a slice of bread with butter.

I just wondered if anyone wanted to create a group who is on the same journey so we can motivate and support each other?

Good luck with your weight loss journey. I lost weight with the Cambridge diet a few years ago but stopped doing it as my hair started to fall out which wasn't good

Was this the shakes diet?

Mumonmission27 · 19/01/2021 07:20

I have heard this happens :(
Did it grow back?

I would stop right away if this happens to me too...

You have shakes and then eventually add food. There are stages to it. I have to say, of all diets I have tried this seems tough even after day 1 but the results are said to be just as fast and hence people see it though.

I'm not willing to do it if I get some of the side effects people have mentioned before however, hair loss being one of them so lets see.

Try the Dr. Michael Moseley blood sugar diet, he lost a few stones doing this. It was devised as a pre diabetic diet based on the Mediterranean diet. Loads of people use it for general weight loss as it doesn't starve the body resulting in hair loss.

I’ve been a Cambridge consultant for 11 years, with regards to hair loss I only ever had one client in all that time that complained their hair was feeling fine, so i changed her plan, if you feel this starts to happen I would speak to your consultant and change the plan that you’re on.

With regards to your headaches it’s usually because of the carb withdrawal, it will pass, make sure you drink the right amount of water each day as this helps, this gets you through the hunger pangs too, good luck🤞

Also use a smaller sized plate like a salad plate for your dinner. The smaller plate size restricts how much food you eat. I think making smaller weight loss habits is more sustainable long term. The Cambridge diet is drastic & already having an unpleasant impact on you. It's not something that you'll enjoy continuing long term.

Try the 8 week blood sugar diet, start exercising regularly, reduce portion sizes, reduce junk food, increase water & eat more fruit. You're more likely to stick to it as you'll have more energy.

I have tried it twice and lost weight very quickly. Mentally and socially could not sustain it and put on more weight than I had started with.

Thank you so much. This is day two for me and the headaches haven't stopped. Have drank 3 litters of water and am on 3 shakes... Really felt it today..... Only 12 days to go Confused

That sounds tough. Are you going to continue? Good luck.

So today is day 4, yesterday was my beat day. I felt I had energy, woke up with a clear mind and sustained energy levels all day which hasn't happened in a while.
I have lost 7lbs, but in reality, that is just water which I know. The biggest thing I find myself pondering is life after this... I can loose the weight but what will life be like after, I don't want to worry every time I eat, if I will be putting weight back on. Read more reviews saying people moved to slimmingnworld and gained about a stone before starting to work it off again... It's all just going round in my head...

I don't work for Dr. Moseley but do consider the 8 week blood sugar diet as its a more long term sustainable way of eating.
