Ideas please for a concert at home.

Another lockdown, another lockdown birthday coming up so I have an idea.

I'm going to do a Lady Gaga concert at home.

So far I have - lady gaga merchandise and I'm going to do a stand for dd to get it (rather than wrapping it up). Fake tickets printed and a hi vis vest (older dc going to take her for a walk and I'll be 'security' on our door when she gets back). Concession stand serving burgers and hot dogs, fizzy drinks in the proper cups with lids and straws, and all sorts of sweets and crisps. Smoke machine and disco lights. I have a projector and will play the concert on there with the surround sound.

I'll clear everything bar the lights and smoke machine out the living room so there's room to dance and make it feel concert-y.

I wanted to possibly get a bunch of faces printed off and stick them up as a 'crowd' but it would cost the earth in ink and I cant think of another way to do it.

Are there any other things I could do at home to make it special for her.

Other birthdays last year included a superhero party, a carnival, holiday theme, a massive treasure hunt and a circus theme which were all amazing, but I'm running out of ideas now and don't want this one to fall flat.

Any help would be much appreciated. TIA Flowers

@DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult Grin aww ! Well it sounds awesome . Enjoy!

SlippersForFlippers the smoke machine does set off the alarm, so I'll disable the living room one for the duration of the concert as its ridiculously sensitive. The door will be closed and the window will be open so hopefully the rest of the house will be safe.

Thank you inquietant Smile

I'm seriously impressed, my plan for DD's birthday is a takeaway, not exactly amazing! Best up my game

movingonup20 I sort of made a rod for my own back, I've always been a bit OTT over Christmas, Easter, birthdays with planning stuff for us to do, which is usually fine as there's loads of new exciting things to do out and about. I didn't figure nearly a years worth of lockdown (for 6 kids) into my plan though. Serves me right 🤣🤣

I want to know what else is in your cupboard of random stuff!

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 19/01/2021 12:57

MavisEnderby74 so, so much stuff, it's ridiculous.

I have a tightrope, unicycle, spinning plates, blacklight, loads of 80s decorations (stored in home made rubix cubes) coconut cups, grass skirts and a million other tropical decorations, inflatables for every occasion, in my shed I have a fibreglass kit for my next project, I have fake flowers, bunny costume, hairdressing heads.... so much useless crap I'm loath to get rid of.

If someone says I need x thing, I wonder where I would get one, chances are I have it 🤣🤣
