Miele are more expensive Bosch are same manufacturers

They are totally separate companies. Miele is family owned, likewise Bosch.

We bought an AEG recently...its been great! We were advised by the sales guy that Bosch used to be good but they have since moved their manufacturing out of Germany and the quality has deteriorated.

Miele basic model is around £550.

I wouldn't have any other washing machine, our bottom of the range Miele with no bells and whistles is now 15 years old and immaculate still. It's never had so much as a service.......we were advised years ago to stay away from anything with fancy, light up panels and loads of displays because it's often those that go wrong and end up breaking the machine.

We've had an LG one for the past few years and it's been very good.
Am looking for a new one though as we are moving, so this is a useful thread!

Samsung Ecobubble is brilliant, mine has lasted me for 7 years now. No problems whatsoever and it gets used at least once daily. Highly recommended and comes with a 5 Yr guarantee.

8 year old beko in my old house, have a 2 year old beko currently. Go by price, capacity and energy rating as none of them last brilliantly and repairs are £££

GERTgert06 · 29/01/2021 11:50

Just waved goodbye to my 25 year old Bendix. Replaced it with a Blomberg. It's early days yet, but it seems good.

mootymoo · 29/01/2021 11:50

@JimmyTheBrave

All very expensive! Mine was £229 when I looked recently (actually was buying a tumble dryer) 9kg energy a.

TeaLibrary · 29/01/2021 11:51

Another vote for Samsung Ecobubble. Love mine.

woodhill · 29/01/2021 11:55

Love my LG washer

JimmyTheBrave · 29/01/2021 12:26

@mootymoo definitely not the cheapest. Lowest price in the best buys is Beko WTG921B3W at £199, scored 76% whereas the top rated 5 I listed above scored between 89% and 82%. Still a Best Buy though so a very good lower priced option.
There are 125 Best Buy washing machines so a good variety. Happy to check a specific machine review if anyone is interested.
