What weight are you if you’re 5’7 and a size 8?

I’m trying to lose weight and at the moment I’m 10 st 8lb and a size 10. My goal is 9.7 but I haven’t been under 10 stone since I was 18!

What do you weigh if you’re a similar height and a size 8?

5'7" and 9 stone 3 pre pregnancy. I'm pear shaped with small boobs so in Zara type sizes I was an 8 top, 12 bottom and in Next type sizes I was an 8 bottom and the women's tops were too big (did get some lovely boys jumpers though...)

Agree with PP's that everyone carries their weight differently. 'm 5"7 and a size 10 at 9 stone 8. I'm always around 9 stone and a half give or take a couple of pounds but I have a medium build frame, so broad shoulders and hips. If go over 9 stone 10 a size 10 gets tight and over 10 stone I'm a 12. I've only ever fit a size 8 in the context of being ill, lost a lot of weight and went down to 8 stone 3. That weight is far too small for my frame and I looked skeletal had barely any body fat. I would say I went back to a 10 after getting over about 8 stone 10. I couldn't ever intentionally maintain a size 8 as it's just not a natural size for me.

I'm slightly over 5 foot 6 and weight 57kg which I think is just shy of 9 stone. I am a size 10, no way would I fit in a size 8 I'd probably need to be at least another half a stone lighter.

Well. I'm 5'7 and weigh around 9 stone 4-6 lbs which is normal for me.
I'm very pear shaped however; narrow shoulders, small chest, 27/28inch waist, and generous hips and bum (38-40 inch hips). Also have big thighs.
Usually wear size 8 tops and skater style dresses but usually need size 12 in jeans or tighter fitting skirts.

In my early 20s (now mid 30s) I weighed around 8 stone 10 for a while and could just about squeeze my bum into Topshop's size 10 jeans...

Like others have said, it also depends on shop sizing and fit. I regularly wear clothes from my wardrobe that range from size 4 up to size 14!

I was 8st 12 when I was a size 8. But I have huge hips.

Please don't use clothing size as any sort of a guide. It's not in any way reliable.

5’8 and 8 stone 10. I’m a size 8 on the bottom and a ten on top

I'm neither 5'7 nor a size 8 but one of my daughters is (probably a size 6 at the top and a size 8 at the bottom). She's exactly 8 and a half stone.

I'm 5'6 and weigh about 59kg, around about 9 and a half stone I think. I wear mostly size 10 - I'm more of an 8 in frame but have a big bust (30G). If I lose a kilo though I become an 8 in most things.

Just under 5 ft 8. I weigh 8 st 12 and am a size 8 in most shops.

I am 5”8 and 9 stone 10, size 10 with a big chest. To get down to a size 8 I think I would have to get down to 9 stone, max.

This is interesting because I am just under 5’7” weigh just under 9 stone but am usually a perfect fit for a 10.

8s never usually quiet fit quite right: sleeves are too short, shoulders are too narrow and hems or waists are the wrong place.
Though we’re I too loose any more weight, my clothes would start to look baggy. I think 9 stone, size 10 is the perfect weight/size for my frame.

5ft6” and weigh 8 stone 5 and I’m a size 6-8. As others say it’s very individual and depends how you carry weight

5’6-and-a-half and to be comfortable in a non-elastic 8 (so a cocktail dress or pencil skirt) I need to be around 8 stone. Currently closer to 9 stone due to quarantine weight gain and the 8s fit but they’re pretty tight, if I were buying anything new I’d be picking a 10.

Weight is so build dependent. I remember trying to fit into my grandmother’s wedding dress from the ‘40s back when I was about 8 stone 2lbs and definitely had no fat to lose. The bodice wouldn’t even come close to fastening and I could barely get my arms in the sleeves.
