i'm surprised how many people are rating themselves higher on academics than other things.

i'm probably a C at best academically in any subject, i'm good at english (you wouldn't think it by the way i type on here but i can write very well and i have very good vocabulary, i just can't be bothered online) but i'm terrible at time management so i won't do very well on my english exams (if they even happen).

but with cooking, art, general life things id give myself at least a b+, even an A if i'm particularly motivated.
if i was always motivated i'd be amazing at a lot of things but sadly i'm not, so when i do get my moments of motivation i make the most of it and get months of practise done in one week.

however in terms of sports, i'm a U.
i'm terrible at anything sporty and always have been.

I did maths & science A levels, followed by an economics degree, so I can reasonably confidently award myself an A for anything quantitative. Maybe A* on a good day. I loved studying subjects in which there was one definitively correct answer and my task was to solve the problem and calculate or derive that correct answer. No grey areas. No fluffy nonsense.

When it comes to anything artistic or creative, however, I’m completely hopeless. I literally can’t draw a straight line with a ruler, and if asked to critique a poem I wouldn’t have a clue where to begin. If there’s a grade below ungraded, that’s what I would get.

Generally a B. Good all-rounder, not exceptional.

Except I am ecceptionally bad at ball games. I only ever got Es for PE Grin

Probably an A. I’ve got a PhD in chemistry and was always top of the top sets at school.

Absolutely tone deaf though and sadly shite at anything musical.

In anything that piques my interest, easily A+. I have an obsessive nature and hyperfocus, and I persevere.

Unfortunately my executive functioning is hopeless so overall I’m a solid B-

An A if i really applied myself, didn't have an underprivileged background etc.

I'd say C

B
C to account for doing the minimum needed

A for achievement

E for effort

At least that was me in school. What I suspect was undiagnosed ADHD meant focus was non existent. Now I do things that are different every day and challenging, I'd say B + for both.

Academically I'd give myself an A. However common sense, life skills, emotional intelligence, etc I'd be ungraded Grin

@ScrapThatThen

I'm a solid high B low A kind of person. Replicated through almost every exam or qualification I have ever taken.

Same here.

Although in those days an A was the highest mark you could get and A didn't exist. So since they've moved the goalposts I'd say I was a fairly solid A in most areas with the odd A if I really put my mind to it.

A* - although it’s taken me years to appreciate just how clever I actually am. (I confess that I do find theoretical physics quite tricky)
