I need something new to get addicted to (candy crush etc) during lockdown

It's free but always out to get your money 😬 The packs are ridiculously overpriced but not at all necessary.

I really enjoy playing so I take our the gold pass (greater rewards, more features) now and then. There's a 2 week free trial for the gold pass to hook you in 😂 It can be cancelled under subscriptions in your app store which means it will run for the whole period but not auto-renew.

It's best to take your first paid 4 week gold pass on the last day of your first tour to gather all the rewards from that tour before they expire. It will then run through the next tour and into the one after that which maximises rewards (3 tours for the price of 2). It's best not to have it running continuously as it's expensive enough as it is.

I don't have a console so this is my only way of playing Mario Kart

You can absolutely play without spending a penny but it's hard to build up rubies and coins to spend and they constantly dangle the benefits of the gold pass in your face!

I also loved Badland and Alto's Adventure/Odyssey get good reviews.

DS just discovered the TV has Tetris and he's astonished how good I am. Ah you see back in the day son...

Two Dots. It's eaten my life.

I am quite bizarrely addicted to a 3D lathe app where you get to lathe various shapes and sand them down then spray them. Totally unexpectedly fun. Even looked at how much a small domestic lathe might be - need to buy the house the garden and the shed first but no harm looking eh ??
Also enjoying the coloured water pouring / sorting apps. Quite challenging after early levels.
