Morning all! What are you up to today?

It's my birthday today. No-one else is up so I'm enjoying my quiet cuppa. Dd2 told me I had to have a lie in & wait for someone else to make a cup of tea this morning but if I did that, I'd end up waiting 'til this afternoon

There's a load of washing to be done & mountain of pots to wash but other than that not much house-work. I might clean the upstairs bathroom though - the bath could do with a scrub before I run myself one later.

I expect the girls will spend a fair bit of time on Minecraft & dd2 will carry on reading either H.P. or Percy Jackson. & we need to feed dd2's mantis.

I plan to do as little as possible & maybe nip for a quiet walk to my friends if a parcel I've sent there arrives.

Been for a run and washing load number one of many is now spinning. Apparently moving house in 3 weeks (I’m not sure I share our solicitor’s optimism ) so DH is clearing out the loft and shed as has a tip run booked for Tuesday morning. I started a new role on Monday, and this week has been completely mental (teacher) so am not doing any work today. I’ve got some work to catch up with tomorrow morning though ready for Monday. I am teaching a friend at another school how to do some stuff on google classroom this afternoon via gmeet. I’ll probably make some cakes. The bathroom is minging so that’s got to be a priority too. Basically nothing interesting.

Oh my goodness - Virginia Andrews!!

Hobbling 2 miles with my 5 yr old in 3ft of snow to go and check on my car I had to abandon yesterday after a 7 hour ordeal trying to get to & from school 6 miles away! (There was no snow when we set off).

It was absolute hell yesterday, loads of us getting out of our cars to help push a stuck lorry on a hill and dig our own cars out, only for some of us to end up sliding back down said hill.

Keep having flashbacks of that feeling when your car is sliding and there's nothing you can do to stop it

It's mostly my fault in my case as I haven't tried hard enough to get tyres sorted as I knew they weren't ideal (though legal, just).

Might pop the kid on her sledge and pull her round to the car!

Off sledging in a short while, lunch then a snowy mountain walk this afternoon. Snowed for 8 hours solid yesterday so im out to enjoy it, its very icy but beautiful!

After a lie in this morning I've done two loads of washing and drying,cleaned my car inside properly,walked the dogs and dc,cooked a nice meal and pootled and chatted with the dc in between.
