Here are mine 👃.

Sudocrem.

Any kind of bread when it has just come out of the oven ( especially garlic bread)

Rosemary, dried or fresh from the plant

Thyme, dried or fresh from the plant. I grow this sometimes just to smell it 😊.

Can’t think of any more at the moment, so...what are yours?

So, what are yours?

Swimming pools
Bleach
Tarmac
Sawdust/wood being cut

This isn't a smell per se, but I love when my cat's been cuddled up to me, and then her head smells vaguely of whichever perfume I've been wearing.

I think I have smells that I actually think are nice and smells that are evocative of childhood memories.

Nice - Summer rain, especially on grass or tarmac. Roses, bergamot, rosemary, coffee etc.

Evocative - opening a punnet of tomatoes, a poor substitute for my grandad’s greenhouse as a child. Germaline, my grandma’s solution to whatever ailed you. Tinsel, Christmas morning, obviously. Loads more!

I found a Vine Tomato candle which is very good, a bit too perfumed and not quite earthy enough but pretty close.

BaconAndAvocado · 08/01/2021 10:24

This thread is torture for me as since having COVID in November, my sense of smell hasn’t fully returned.

However, my favourite smells were :

Roast lamb cooking in the oven
Basil
Angel
Badedas
Body shop Pink Grapefruit body butter

Hoppinggreen · 08/01/2021 10:29

bangable I haven’t owned horses in over 20 years but as soon as I read hoof oil I could instantly remember how it smelled !
Funny how memory and smell works

mogloveseggs · 08/01/2021 10:31

The kids think I'm bonkers when I buy a new string and sit at home with my nose buried in it Grin
