Now for the record, I do believe in being kind, of course I do but for the love of God it's ok to be pissed off sometimes. I am an ok person. I am kind but sometimes, just like everyone else, I get it wrong because I'm not a fucking Saint. On every other thread when someone really isn't being unkind the stock response to a gripe is fast becoming 'Be kind'. What if I just fancy being an arsehole sometimes? 😂

Do I need to put a 'lighthearted' disclaimer?

I've never seen be kind used in relation to those types of issues. They don't correlate, at all.

It’s all crap. I had a nice clear out in Facebook of anyone that has #Be Kind added to their profile photo.

I have noticed that the people using "Be Kind" are generally the ones most in need of actually being nicer to other people!
Saying "Be Kind" does not excuse bad behaviour.

I’ve tried being kind and so far this year nobody has sent me flowers, left me an expensive present on the doorstep or offered to shag me.

I find the whole be kind thing thrown about to stop general disagreement and usually when the person has no other way of supporting their own (often unkind) stance.

I agree with a pp about how sometimes the people who post comments about being kind are often the ones who really need to take their own advice.

I agree OP, it’s trotted out in the most ridiculous circumstances. There was a thread recently where the OP was basically being stalked by an annoying chatterbox every time she went for a dog walk and a few empty headed posters told her she should be kind to the chatterbox no matter that the chatterbox was being anything but that to the OP.

Absolutely. I've noticed the same.

It's infuriating, isn't it. So mealy-mouthed.

The worst culprits are usually people who are utter horrors.

To be clear, I'm not suggesting for a moment that people shouldn't be kind!

It's just that awful airy fairy, namby pamby tone when somebody says it to someone as if they're so superior. I saw it on half a dozen posts yesterday and I was slightly at one of the people saying it as they have been anything BUT kind to people in the past.
