Crane climbing - just lost an hour watching people do this!

I have absolutely no idea how I stumbled onto a YouTube video of a young lad climbing a crane with nothing but a pair of gloves for protection! (He is wearing the gloves obviously, not me :)).

And when he gets to the top of this massive crane in Hong Kong he whips a poster out of his bag and starts promoting his website where we can get similar signed pics! While he's 1000's of feet up in the air! Illegally! With no protection or equipment! 😯😯 And nothing between him and certain death bar a few bits of rusty iron . His mother would kill him if she knew what he was off to do when he left the house that morning!

Anyway - not only did I watch it over and over, I then went on to watch other similar stuff and I don't know why since I can't even climb our stairs without feeling dizzy!

So - any recommendations for other YouTube videos in a similar vein that I can watch? Grin

I work for a construction company and I don't know if it's the same lad but one got onto our site and climbed our tower crane, videoed it too. Our branding was everywhere which didn't look good but there's absolutely nothing more we could do to prevent it, if he's going to climb a crane he can scale any fence. If he was to fall and kill himself I'm sure the parents would be blaming us though!

Sorry to be a kiljoy but you watching their videos is only encouraging this irresponsible behaviour. Have you thought about the person who has to pick them up when they do fall off or the person who has to break the news to their family?

No not thought about that at all but now that you mention it ... :(. And actually I should have thought of it because I have some involvement with people who witness road/train accidents. I just couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Watch Nightscape..heart in mouth escapades and very cool music..especially him climbing to the top of Canary Wharf ..an astonishing display of youthful.energy adventure and courage ..
there are lots of activities that might cause death and injury ..horseriding and cycling have high injury and death rates..these guys are at the extreme for sure but admire their courage and audacity.

Was it Ali Law? He’s got into a lot of trouble for doing stuff like this. The best ones at the Russian ones though. You know those Soviet Stars they still have a on lot of buildings there? Well some of them actually stand on the points of the stars themselves. It makes me shudder just thinking about it.

I watch James Kingston videos sometimes. They’re utterly terrifying but I can’t stop watching.

Search extreme urban free climbing on YouTube, that will get you lots to watch.

People touring abandoned buildings is a good YouTube hole to fall town. A local hotel was featured in one recently, I watched it out of curiosity (had always wondered what the inside was like) and next thing I knew it was 2 hours later and I was subscribed to their channel.

Look up Storror. They are a parkour group and both terrifying and amazing to watch.
