This is a horrible, foul time. But it's got me thinking. One of my relatives, now dead, had a n only child, a son, who was in the army at Dunkirk, escaped and joined the RAF. She spent the entire war not hearing much from him, worried half to death. Many mothers waved their children off and had no idea when if ever they would see them again. Another relative lost 2 sons on the same day in a World War 1 battle. This is NOT to make light of life under Covid. This virus is playing havoc with children, education jobs and relationships. But it is just to say that many generations have ghastly things happen. We can't control them. But we do have a smidgen of control over how we deal with things.
