Modibodi period pants - durable?

How durable are modibodi period pants, anyone who has had them? I was going to go for the classic boyleg or sensual boyleg. Most of my normal knickers are at least 10 years old! Blush I know they normally say two years or something but I thought they might be erring on the side of caution?

Had mine for years, wash at 30 (delicates programme) and tumble dry every time. They are absolutely fine.

Try the ones from cheekywipes if you want affordable alternative. The bikini ones are pretty good if u get the heavy flow ones ( their lighter flow ones are useless as the protection doesnt come up high enough at the front, but the normal heavy ones are brilliant)

You don't have to wash Modibodi in a cold wash. You rinse them out in cold water ( because it's a good way to help remove blood ) before washing. Then you can machine wash as normal but no fabric softener

It says "preferably" a cold gentle machine wash. There was a pp who said hers were fine, but you need to follow the washing instructions carefully. Mine are in tatters. Maybe I got a bad batch or something. So expensive, I really am a bit miffed about it tbh.

Care guide also says cold wash.

Had mine a few months they seem to be holding up ok. Material feels nice. They are quite " thin" though so I can see how getting them caught ir putting a nail through might be an issue.

Wuka are bulkier and certainly less fancy but I really like them. There's something about not being super thin sometimes that gives you the confidence. Guess ita cos you can feel its all in the right place or you just like cushion feeling... I only really use as cup back.up though although tested them out recently on a light day and they worked as they should.

I dont think I could pick really...

@AudreyAubergine that's a shame. DD had had hers for about 10 months now. The coloured ones look a bit tattier but the black are good as new. No holes in any of them

AudreyAubergine · 07/01/2021 10:42

I've had mine around a year, with a bit more use, as I had a weird year of extra periods, now sorted! Not good enough for the price though. My pads are still going strong after years and they were significantly cheaper. Not at all happy with modibodi.

MrsH201 · 07/01/2021 11:38

Has anyone used Innersy, out of interest? I do need a low rise brief though, and they look maybe a bit higher...

I’ve had the floweret ones for coming up to three years now and they are honestly still as good as new.

They often do half price, or two for one deals which are worth looking out for, and the sizing does seem to run a little small, but I would wholeheartedly recommend them based on my experience

Dd (teenager) and I both have their cup and pants and would recommend

My DD aged 13 has had some for just over a year. She has ASD and wasn’t managing pads well (disorganised and sensory issue). Modi Bodi have been brilliant for her. Last her all night and gets her through the school day and never a leak. Some of the gussets have holes on which was disappointing. She does wear hers throughout the month as she finds them comfortable (she’s got the shorts style). Overall we haven’t saved money but she likes that they are better for the environment and she doesn’t have to faff with pads.

IndieTara · 07/01/2021 12:13

@HelplessProcrastinator my DD has used hers since age 11 ( now 12 ) and while she hates her periods she prefers using her modibodi as it's less faff and they are much better for school. She has heavy flow and also uses the shorts.
