If the economy was based on your personal spending habits how would it look ?

I was pondering earlier (( not much else to do these days )) and totting up how much I've spent this week.

It came to £70 in Aldi, around £3 in home bargains on cleaning stuff and that's it.

No takeaways, no car to run, I don't drink or smoke so no revenue there. We spend a fair bit on travel but only use trains so no flying.

I spend maybe £100 or so a year on clothes, I don't subscribe to anything online.

If the economy was based on my spending habits we'd be goosed. More so than we are now. Does anyone else fare better ? Blush

The economy will be rather patchy. Costa will be doing a thriving trade, but operations reducing gradually. Clothes shops have recently seen a massive decrease in trade alongside British Airways virgin Atlantic and quantas. The expensive dog food that somehow allows the dog to eat more extensively than me will still be thriving.

When we could go out we would spend a lot in either football ( travel to Newcastle, hotel fuel, eating out) could easily come to £3/400 or going to music stuff

Books and films is where most of my money goes!
The occasional takeaway, about once a month and endless fancy hot chocolates in winter and ice creams in summer (when the cafes are open)
And petrol I guess (when we are allowed to travel) because we like to visit new places and also like going hiking.
Most of my clothing is from charity shops but I buy a new impractical dress on my birthday and Christmas or something... not every birthday and Christmas

Food, kids clothes, my clothes, bit of wine.

That's it
