Will there be an increase of demand on nannies/tutors etc?

I used to work as a nanny during uni and I have some childcare qualifications.

I lost my job in July and my industry will be the last to come back.

I’m currently on a zero hour contract and it’s pretty mundane. This weekend I started to think about putting myself back out there for nannying.

My friend thinks that families won’t want anyone else coming into their bubble/nannies will be out of work as parents will be put on furlough. I think the opposite that now schools are closed parents will be flapping paying over the odds as they don’t want to supervise homeschooling while working?

Just realised my OP is wordy/rambled.

Is it worth me returning back to nannying or will there be nannies with a lot more experience looking for work?

I am assuming you are in England? So I think it’s different rules to here in Scotland.

But I am a nanny and I’m not allowed to work as kids parents aren’t key workers.
It’s an absolute joke especially when childminders can work as normal.

The Scottish government has nannies classed alongside babysitters so that says it all really.

There is a nanny board on here so you might be better asking on there for more information
