Found perfect car on Cinch, but just noticed it has a small crack in the windscreen. Crazy to still consider?

Hi,

So it's just that really. No way we could afford this car brand new and it ticks so many boxes. It has a few exterior and interior scuffs, chips and scratches, but both major.

Then I noticed the alert symbol on the windscreen Confused

I know you can get these sorted with resin, but don't know how long this lasts, so perhaps I'm mad to still want to buy.

Oh and if anyone have any experience using Cinch at all, please let me know.

TIA

No experience with Cinch but I bought my Mini with a crack in the windscreen 3 years ago and it hasn't changed/gotten larger since.

A new windscreen is not that expensive, but I wouldn't drive a car with a cracked windscreen because they can suddenly go, and at the most inconvenient moment. You saying it has other scuffs would make you wonder how well it has been cared for mechanically.
No experience of cinch, sorry.

*but nothing major

@Reedwarbler, I think pretty much all of the cars have some kind of scuff or scratch. Could be absolutely tiny, but it obviously needs to be declared. But yes, this one does seem to have more than average.

You’ll get your windscreen replaced on your car insurance for a small amount with no effect on your no claims. I viewed and bought a car as it was going dark and only saw a crack in the windscreen the next day, car insurance replaced it for £80

£100 for a new windscreen on my insurance policy

A stonechip can be filled to be less obvious and hopefully not get bigger. You can't do much with a crack though. I would replace it

Thanks for the replies. So not really a big deal then...

I bought a car with a cracked windscreen and had it replaced for £180 (not on insurance ). The car was a really good deal otherwise and I figured it was worth it
