Absolutely best, most fun & exciting holidays for kids? Age 5 & 9

I need to plan for a life after Covid. Very conscious that the kids are growing up so quickly and want to pack in some great holidays that the kids will enjoy now and remember fondly as adults. I would love to hear your suggestions!

An amazing hotel somewhere with water slides on site?

Disneyworld?

Italy? France? Spain?

Florida?

I went here with DS last year. He loved it so much to do for the kids and he still asks if we can go back.

Glamping in a French holiday resort by the river. Absolute best!!

Nielson beach club holiday. They’ll learn to sail, kayak, play sports, SUP, tennis, swimming and all with kids their own age whilst you do your own thing.

Atlantis the Palm, Dubai. The most amazing water park.

Disney world is childhood "bucket" list stuff, waiting to rebook. Hope to do that twice before they grow up.

I know AI beach holidays get slagged off on here, but sun, sea and sand is heaven for my kids. Don't underestimate the power of 7 days guaranteed sun, swimming, water sports, unlimited ice cream. It's so easy and most resorts are near "interesting" things to visit for some culture too!

Out of all the holidays we've been on, my children always want to go back to centre parcs, and always ask when we are next going! Personally I loved Disney land paris. Not to far to get to, went in may so weather was lovely, lots of things to cater for 3 different children who were 8,6 &3.

@WanderingHopefully what part was that? It sounds idyllic.

It was the Portes du Soleil, on the Swiss side, but you're very close to the French border and can cross using the ski lifts. Swimming was in Lac Léman (Lake Geneva). If you go at the start of August, you catch Swiss national day. Many villages lay on parades, fireworks, even paragliding days. Absolutely wonderful, although it has become a very expensive holiday if you like to eat out a lot.

Thank you

Most years we spend 2 weeks in a cottage by the sea in Pembrokeshire.

Our favourite other holiday was Saas-Fee one August. We stayed in the youth hostel which has its own pool.

My two are a bit older, but as others have said, family time is what they remember! We talked about going to Disney Florida, as we loved Paris. They both said they would rather go somewhere good for snorkeling!
Maybe make a list each of what you would enjoy doing on holiday and see what you have in common, and go
somewhere with something for each of you to enjoy?
