i just want to live my life

i just want to live my life with no worries. live purely in the present and never worry about my past or the future except the occasional cringe and take each day as it comes.
wake up each day, eat what i like for breakfast, smoke a cig and get on with my day.
play my bass guitar and do my makeup, listen to some music, go meet up with some friends and smoke some more.
go home, eat some pasta for dinner and get into bed after cleaning my face and smoking one final time.
repeat the next day.
maybe one day i join a band and we end up having a few concerts.
yet for now, i am okay with my current job, but it would be nice to do it one day.

this is my new years resolution.

Your ambitions will probably change but deciding what makes you happy and pursuing that, rather than having a life plan based on other people's expectations, is never going to be a bad goal.

And don't give up the bass guitar. I'm 45 and started playing bass as a teenager. I play in a punk band and, pre covid, we gigged a lot. There's not a lot of money in it but it keeps life fun and interesting.
