Go to bed unless you work a night shift

I’d be over the moon! DS is disabled and non-verbal. Him telling me ANYTHING would be the best thing ever. As to specifics about his sexuality - he can be whoever he wants to be, love whoever he wants and I will be proud of him just the same.

ShowOfHands · 02/01/2021 05:06

@user686833 while I broadly agree with your thoughts re labelling sexuality at a young age, some of your thoughts are a little contradictory. You seem fairly happy to label other people's sexuality for them by declaring "everybody" as bisexual. That sort of thinking makes me quite uncomfortable. By all means challenge the consequences of a heteronormative society, but I do think you have to allow for people simply being gay or straight without disbelieving them or you're getting into the woolly area of it being acceptable to disrespect people's boundaries.

@non870961 - because people who post with - thoughts? Or something similar, with no opinion given themselves, on a topic which can have very strong options, and yet they don't give one, is usually something to be wary or suspicious of.

Is being bisexual controversial?

News to me.

DisgruntledPelican · 02/01/2021 05:33

I’d say “me too!” and give them a hug

Drumgley55 · 02/01/2021 05:39

Would thank them for sharing something so personal, reassure them that they know themselves best and it’s good they wanted to express it to me, then reassure them that I love them for who they are.

SedentaryCat · 02/01/2021 07:49

I was happy that they could confide in me. Hugged and life has carried on as before.

Mydogisagentleman · 02/01/2021 08:07

I just reminded her that she needed to be safe and happy.

Thanks for the reports about this thread - and the other one that the OP started. We've had a look behind the scenes and can see that the OP is a previously banned poster so we've now banned them (again) and will be removing the thread shortly.

MirandaWestsNewBFF · 02/01/2021 09:19

I’d say, “great, you take after me.”
