I need lockdown treats- any ideas?

In tier 4 with a toddler and pretty fed up. Trying to think of treats I can give myself in January with breaking any rules. So far I have:

Drive through Maccies
Drive through Costa

So not feeling particularly inspired. Has anyone got any fun suggestions, what's getting you through lockdown? Doesn't have to be food related, but somehow usually ends up being...

I try and have something to look forward to at the end of the day (I have a pre-schooler) like a bath, a candle, a nice cake (sorry food again), fresh bedding. I feel like I’ve really earned it after a full day with DD inside or at a cold park! The phrase “Look forward to” is used with a bit of artistic license here I’m afraid!
Flowers is another good one and you can get them on subscription. I walk DD down to our local florist which doubles as a corner shop (?!) to buy some. Fills up some time as well and because of the set up of the shop we don’t actually go inside.

If you have a bath I highly recommend a seaweed bath and clean sheets.
I plan it for a few days so I enjoy the anticipation too 🙂

Subscription boxes? i have signed up the the feel good book club and a Reposed so a couple of times a month I get a parcel with a new book and some little treats.

My other treat is really decent shower gel, so that that few minutes in the shower feels like a lovely indulgent moment

Food related but healthy: I always view mango, raspberries and pomegranate as a real treat

Yes to baths, candles, nice things to put in the bath. Face mask?

Some new books?

'Posh' tea in a teapot?

Umbongoumbongo999 · 01/01/2021 16:57

A home facial and a new book on my Kindle.

Maybe a really nice candle to burn every night when the LO is in bed

Afternoon tea - once a week. Properly laid out with teapot or coffee.
Walk with a picnic in a nice location like a national trust place or grounds of a historic house.

We've had amazing sun down skies and day before yesterday a rising orange full moon. Toddler might like going out in buggy in the dark ( 4.30here) to see them.

Also I bought a scented wax melt diffuser and it was a lovely treat each day when working from home.

Drive through car wash? Shiny car, and mild amusement for the toddler!

This, and add torches.

Magazine subscription? We got them for ourselves and both kids at the start of the March lockdown. Agree with monthly subscription box too.

nc2000000 · 01/01/2021 17:09

Oh thanks lots of great ideas, subscription box sounds satisfying. It's amazing how much joy a single take away coffee brings me now!

I just love the car wash suggestion! That’s no one one my list. (Are they still allowed to hoover inside too?)

HidingInTheLight · 01/01/2021 20:00

@AtleastitsnotMonday I think its only automatic car washes allowed so I assume no.
