I get a lump in my throat when cars all move in unison out of the way for an ambulance.
Or when I’m on a motor way and the signs say “NORTH” and “SOUTH”. Just seems very grand to me.
When we had a fire drill at work recently and we were all together on the school field and it was the first time we had all been together as a school since February 2020. God I could have stood there and bawled! The children were all waving at each other.
The other big thing at the moment is small businesses trying their hardest during these times. I can’t put it into words very well but when the constant hoops they have to jump through and them raising to the challenge.
Covid era has made me very emotional!

I always cry watching the marathon. Not covid-related I've always been the same. Something about all those people working so hard, working together, yet individually towards their own personal target. For years I lived along a marathon route and every year I'd be out on the street sobbing away behind a pair of big sunglasses Blush

Agree about cars moving for EVs
people smiling at dogs
Bus drivers who flash their hazards to say thank you for giving way
Pedestrians waving a thanks for stopping at a zebra crossing
Tiny, tiny gestures that mean alot

Baby clothes with little animals on them. I actually avoid them because they make me cry, but lots of lovely people bought gifts for DD when she was born - onesies with sheep, rabbits and puppies on them. I'm welling up just writing this.

I always feel emotional when I see or am behind a funeral cortege.

It's a combination of everyone slowing down in respect, the sight of pedestrians stopping out of respect, the knowledge that, for the rest of us, our days are continuing and the world is still turning but, for those people, their worlds have momentarily stopped and they're running on a different time to everyone else just makes me feel very emotional.
