Please help! CD compilation 1994

Help me find this cd music compilation please!

I am certain I got it for Christmas 1994 when I was 11 and that checks out with the house I remember living in at the time.

I’m sure it had the songs Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me by Gloria Estefan and Eternal Love by PJ and Duncan and they were both near the end of the second CD. I’ve checked and both songs were released in November 94 so that checks out too.

I could have actually sworn it was a Now That’s What I Call music, but neither of those songs are on the ones from 1994. Also I can’t imagine my parents buying me any other compilation than a Now as I had several others.

If you lot don't have the answer I will concede that I have completely made it up!

Hits 94, Smash Hits 94?

EloraaDanan · 29/12/2020 10:22

Have you checked the NOW CDs from 93 and 95? I think sometimes they were a little late or early depending on when the singles were actually released.

I've just spent 10 mins looking for you online and sorry I have no idea what album it was but I think I probably had it! Following in case anyone anyone comes up with the answer!

Missclementine, when I saw your suggestion I thought that could have been it as I loved the Smash Hits magazine so definitely possible my parents would have got me that one, but looking as the track listings they aren't there.

Eloraa, DH and I spent ages looking through them through the surrounding years but no luck. We actually went though a phase of looking for the CDs from around this period in charity shops and I knew it hadn't been on any we'd listened to then.

Buenavista, thank you for looking! Glad it's possible I'm not making it up.

It's possible Eternal Love wasn't on there, because I know I had the PJ and Duncan album (as confirmed by asking Alexa to play their songs and me still knowing most of the words 😂) but I don't know where I would have got the Gloria Estefan song from really other than a compilation Cd.

I remember having a 'love' compilation which I'm sure had Eternal Love on it - it was a double cd with I think a white and red or mostly red cover, maybe a large heart - I can sort of picture it, but couldn't say if Hold Me ... was on it. I definitely wouldn't have it any more but I'll have a think

Is this any help? You could browse the compilation album charts and hopefully recognise the title - this link is for Christmas week 1995, but you can browse by week

Gloria Estefan had an album called Hold me Thrill kiss me in 1994 so you might getting confused with another compilation which with the U2 song and PJ and Duncan?

ParadiseLaundry · 30/12/2020 16:45

Thank you so much everyone, I've checked the compilation chats and can't see anything there.

I did wonder about getting it mixed up with the U2 one of the similar name but I could remember all of the words to the song so I must have listened to it a lot.

Was Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me on the radio a lot at the time, can anyone remember? All I remember on the radio at the time is Jesse by Joshua Kadison playing all the time Grin

If those songs were released November 94 it would have been too late to go onto the compilation albums sold for Xmas so you need to look later.

Top of the Pops album?
