When they get too flat and stained!

DH and I are pillow punchers so I replace them quite regularly. I could probably do it less often if I spent more in the first place!

Maybe every 3-6 months, if they’re not too gross they get relegated to Visitor Pillow status; if they ming I take them to the tip.

I think I might be a bit mingy but most of my pillows are older than my kids.

I use pillow protectors if that helps?

Pillows for everyone else every 2 years, they have the year stamped on them. I buy them when they are half price. For me the pillow I actually sleep with its about 10 years old - it’s a flat children’s pillow that I can’t buy anymore and I can’t sleep with any other 🙁 I do was it regularly and I put it in the Hot sun and spray with a nice vinegar solution every week when I was the sheets

Not often enough!! Never sure what to do with old pillows.

Seriously? Or is that a typo and you wrote months when you meant to say years?

Ours are the shaped foam ones from IKEA and I think they're about 10-12 years old and seem fine.

Old pillows if we have any get repurposed as cat beds and end up in the bin when there's the inevitable accident or dirty protest (we foster for a rescue so have quite a few comings and goings of often troubled cats and kittens).

Most recycling centres don't accept bedding and all our non recyclable waste is incinerated in a waste to energy plant, do no landfill issue.

So rescue organisations might accept old pillows, not that pillows need changing multiple times a year anyway.

The last set I bought were super duper cheap (like £5 a pair cheap) hence why they didn’t last long.

Otherwise yes they last longer but over 2 years - just no. I can’t sleep on foam pillows, I find them uncomfortable, and feather pillows don’t keep their shape as long.
