Why do all toys come with 100s of bits many almost invisible to the naked eye, and how do you not hoover them all up?

I have a 5yo and a 3yo. Have resisted toys with lots of bits for a long time, but this year bought a couple of playmobile sets. There are bits in the set that are miniscule and see through. How TF do you lot have these in your houses? I am tempted to superglue the whole lot together. Am i missing something? Is there a magical solution?

I loathe Playmobile. I thought it was supposed to be good quality, and it's certainly priced in that league, but the buildings just constantly disintegrated. The Fire station was unceremoniously dumped in a black bag after collapsing yet again. The DCs weren't interested, it wasn't durable enough to play with and they've never noticed its absence. Ditto Tracey Island which they did have more interest in, but it had to quietly disappear in the end after collapsing onr too many times.

Lego, I manage by flinging into a trunk. I don't mind Lego so much as it can be arranged in any order and that's the point of it.

I have a playroom full of tiny bits of plastic from various toys that I don't know what belongs to what. Half of it just needs to go to landfill. It can't be given away or sold because half the bits shed and it's more man hours than it's worth to sort it (and DS2 ambles in, spots stuff, plays with it for the first time in a year and undoes it)

TBH, we have lost some small pieces to the vacuum.

Mostly smaller bits of Lego in our house. Fortunately Lego’s a very open ended toy so losing a few pieces to the vacuum hasn’t ended in disaster.

We try to keep toys with lots of bits in boxes when they’re not being played with, but sometimes the smaller bits do get overlooked.
