I cook them sliced up with bacon, butter, garlic, cheese

Delicious

ProfoundAndExistentialDread · 24/12/2020 21:04

I just steam in the microwave, job done. Much prefer steamed to boiled.

AnnaMagnani · 24/12/2020 21:06

Barely show them the pan. 2 mins and no crosses in the tops.

frying pan. low(ish) heat.
lots of butter, some breadcrumbs, a little cinnamon and sugar.

Aquamarine1029 · 24/12/2020 21:07

I saute in a skillet on high heat to caramelise them using ghee, salt and pepper, some garlic, and then drizzle balsamic vinegar over them when done cooking.

Unescorted · 24/12/2020 21:07

Ours are going to be roasted with onion & orange marmalade.

Boiled with salt and pepper

Jackabobbo · 24/12/2020 21:09

I chop them in halves or quarters and either fry or roast them with bacon bits. Just realised why I had that bacon in the fridge that I ate for dinner tonight... Tomorrow I will either fry or roast them, with no bacon.

MadameMinimes · 24/12/2020 21:10

I’m trying a Babish recipe this year. Slice them in half, toss in a bit of oil, lay cut side down on a baking sheet, lay streaky bacon over the top, roast in oven. Once they are done and the bacon is all crispy chop up the bacon and mix them all together.

willowmelangell · 24/12/2020 21:13

Stir fried with bacon.

ChanklyBore · 24/12/2020 21:14

Last night I par boiled them for a couple of minutes, drained and tipped into a roasting pan, squashed them with a potato masher, added cooked crispy smoked bacon and grated cheese, drizzled with olive oil, salt and pepper, baked and served with crusty bread.

Honeyroar · 24/12/2020 21:15

Just steamed in a pan. No frills, no glazes, no bacon. I just love them as they are.

AnneTwackie · 24/12/2020 21:17

We dry fry sprouts and leeks to char them slightly then add butter, garlic and chestnuts and fry til cooked

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 24/12/2020 21:18

We steam them, nothing added.

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 24/12/2020 21:19

Chop them up like you would cabbage, stir fry with pancetta and chopped chestnuts then add double cream, salt and pepper yum

Pinkiii · 24/12/2020 21:21

Roasted for about 30 mins in oven ( to come out charred basically and then toss it in balsamic vinegar and honey glaze. Its the best.

Lessstressedhemum · 24/12/2020 21:28

Drizzled with garlic oil, sprinkled with sea salt and roasted whole.

Northernsoullover · 24/12/2020 21:31

I put them in the steamer and steam the life out of them. Garnish with gravy.

Santaisironingwrappingpaper · 24/12/2020 21:32

Surely they have been boiling since yesterday op?

Ellieboolou33 · 24/12/2020 22:07

Steam or boil, tried all the other ways but with all the richness of Christmas dinner I enjoy the freshness of steamed sprouts just not the wind that follows
