Does Santa come to your house if it's not spotless?

He won't come here unless the house is spotless, never has. So I'm running around cleaning madly.
I don't know where this came from or why Santa is so judgemental.

As we aren't having any guests this year, Santa will have to make do with what he finds. I normally get so stressed tidying up before visitors that it is lovely not to have that stress this year, more things to worry about. Might have to be careful how we place the camera when doing the video call to relatives tomorrow though!

I thought DC had to have tidy rooms at least, but I mentioned this to DC the other day and DC1 pointed out that he wouldn’t see the bedrooms as he leaves the stockings by the fireplace. To be honest, I have not the time or the inclination for the level of tidying Father Christmas traditionally requires.

@ParadiseLaundry I told dh this and he thought I was mad, laundry has to be a washed and put away.
Glad he's not so judgemental for others. (Think this might be because my dad always comes round and he is a clean freak)

In our house Santa has lowered his standards due to covid. His standards used to be a lot higher

Santa is the same here. I've got this idea that he'll come down the chimney and either tut or do a house inspection. So long as he doesn't look at the mountain of laundry in the bedroom or inside the microwave well be ok

Fuck it....

To be fair I want the clothes airers out of the kitchen for Christmas Day - need all the space I can get - so washing will be dealt with. None is being done today...

fuck doing deep cleaning tomorrow i will run the hoover tube over the sofas so my guests dont take home more cat hair than they want to but as im at home at the moment i keep the house clean anyway just doing normal cleaning if santa dont like it he can take my new radley handbag back to the north pole for mrs santa with him

Lol santa basically has a Home Alone style obstacle course through all the crap in our house but he still manages it!
