Very merry Christmas to all when it comes Xmas Smile

Thank you for letting me hear all about your Christmas Day I was interested to hear if much had changed mines is the first time in 28 years I won't see every single family member on Christmas Day and Boxing Day so that will be tough but hopefully we have next year. I do hope everyone spending it alone have someone to speak to and are not lonely, trust me I'd have everyone at my house for dinner if I could!

Wake up late, crawl out of bed and let the dogs out.
Make a lot of coffee for me, DH and our bubblemate (with whom we are staying over Christmas, Ireland, it's allowed).
When people can face it, smoked salmon, soda bread and scrambled eggs.
Stockings and main presents (we're all three adults).
Stare at DH and bubblemate until they take the dogs to the beach.
Start on food prep, with a glass of something faintly alcoholic.
Get that turkey in the oven. Have another glass of something.
Suggest to bubblemate that it's time he started peeling things.
Do the rest of the cooking.
Remember I'm a Brit, and insist we watch the Queen.
Eat much dinner.
Drink many drinks.
Leave DH and bubblemate to clear up the kitchen, load the dishwasher etc., and retire to bed for a doze.
Wake up early evening, have a cup of tea.
Put out all the cheese, nibbles and chocolates and find a comfortable corner of the sofa.
Stare at DH until he takes the dogs round the garden.
Discuss which Christmas film to watch, and fall asleep halfway through it. Snore.
Wake up in the early hours, note that the fire has gone out, stagger to the bed with the dogs, and pass out until the morning.
A perfect day.

@Megan2018, I don’t think we’re good enough with a knife to spatchcock it, but hopefully if will come out as edible at least😃
DH is actually quite excited by his bbq responsibilities, I think I might just start drinking early 😂

It will be DH, DD and I . We don’t have relatives in UK, usually have friends for Xmas day or Boxing Day but not this year.

Wake up.
Open all presents
Cook and eat breakfast.
Start cooking lunch.
Zoom to relatives at break time.
Lunch.
Zoom to relatives, TV, maybe walk
Light dinner from leftovers.
Board games.
DH and DD do washing up.
DD goes to bed and I have some me time tidying up a bit and drinking Baileys.

Boxing Day is about the same, only with cooking different dishes.
I want to do Xmas quiz but not sure when, it depends on Zooms situation, some of my relatives are very talkative. Smile
