Did you become unwell or was that it? And if you became unwell how long did it take from loss of smell?

This was exactly what happened to me and I didn’t develop any other symptoms. I felt perfectly well the whole time. Please try not to worry x

Thanks. That's what I'm hoping for. I'm not too worried about the virus as such (I'm only 35 so low risk). I'm more bothered about being ill at Christmas!

I only lost taste and smell. I normally suffer with constant sinus problems but they completely disappeared!

I had a banging headache this day before loss of taste and smell then after I just felt very tired. But the tiredness may have been because I'd been working long hours before having to isolate. I'm 48 and not particularly healthy. My partner had no symptoms at all but also tested positive. Try not to worry as for the vast majority symptoms are very mild. Top up on vitamins though if you haven't already as I'm convinced they're making me feel better than I have in years. I take a multivitamin with iron, vit d, c and zync, calcium, marine collagen, omega 3, iodine and then a few for menopausal women.

Headaches and snuffly nose were my first symptoms, followed by loss of taste/smell 2 days later. Headaches and fatigue continued for about a week. Didn't get any worse though, and continued to work at home throughout. I'm 2 weeks from positive test and still my sense of taste and smell are not back to normal. Hoping they return in time for me to enjoy my Christmas lunch!

I felt very tired a few days before losing my taste and smell. During my 10 days isolation I would find myself dropping off on the sofa at odd times of the day which I’m never guilty of. No other symptoms at the time.
My sense of smell is not quite back to normal, but taste seems OK.
Since then I keep catching colds from the kids and now have a coldsore so immune system must be low.

I did feel quite unwell after the loss of taste and smell - horrible cough, absolutely knackered (though I was also 30 weeks pregnant which didn’t help!) Really hated the no taste more than anything though - hope yours returns soon!

My Dad only had that symptom and nothing else. He is 66.

My DH’s Grandad had it a few weeks ago. He’s in his late 80s so we were so worried he would be seriously ill. He lost his sense of smell, had a mild cough and sore throat, said it just felt like a cold.

Hot flushes and loss of taste and smell on the same day for me.

Then about 5 days later the cough started.
But I've had worse chest infections.

Tiredness where I literally slept the day away a couple of times.

Oh I didn't really cough unless I was moving or talking a lot.

So sat watching TV nothing, go to loo cough.
