Not about anything in particular. Just give me your best piece of advice!

It's only worth stressing about the things you can do something about.

IHeartKingThistle · 18/12/2020 08:56

That's not worded right. But you get the gist!

SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 18/12/2020 09:03

When it comes to spending is it a want or a need?

Sprig1 · 18/12/2020 09:18

Look up. It's amazing how many places you go, e.g. town centres, that look really uninspiring but when you raise your eyes above all the standard shop fronts there is v often lots of interesting/beautiful stuff to look at.

LagneyandCasey · 18/12/2020 09:25

Just say no

ApocalypseNowt · 18/12/2020 09:40

Never wrestle with pigs. You'll both get dirty and the pig likes it.

That. Is. Brilliant.
ApocalypseNowt · 18/12/2020 13:34

I use it often! Grin

Witchend · 18/12/2020 15:35

Don't believe what you read online 🤣

RunningFromInsanity · 18/12/2020 15:42

Not my circus, not my monkeys.

Just don’t get involved. Most of the time it’s not worth it.

BarbaraofSeville · 18/12/2020 15:45

You can only spend each pound once.

The 80/20 rule - what you do 80% of the time has the most impact, can be applied to lots of things, diet, money, work or study, etc etc. Flip side is don't sweat the small stuff/occasional blip.

Never try to argue with idiots, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

The one thing that has the most impact on how good your skin looks is to wear SPF moisturiser every day. Doesn't matter if it's cheap or expensive, but if you start this in your teens, your 40/50/60 YO self will than you for it.

If what someone else says/does/thinks appears stupid or wrong to you, it could well be, even if they disagree. Useful when dealing with barmy MILs/SILs etc.

Take your pick.

ZaZathecat · 18/12/2020 15:46

If you come face to face with a tiger, make yourself look as big as possible, don't turn away and don't run.

Ffsnosexallowed · 18/12/2020 15:47

When driving - never argue with a lorry

corlan · 18/12/2020 15:48

Never eat anything bigger than your head. (How I wish I'd listened to that piece of advice ☹️)

RunningFromInsanity · 18/12/2020 15:50

When driving - be predictable, not polite.

It’s all very well letting cars out of junctions, stopping to let people cross the road etc but it’s far safer to just continue to drive in a predictable manner.

purrswhileheeats · 18/12/2020 16:00

Be kind to the inarticulate and tolerant of the verbose.

Little pickers wear bigger knickers.

tinselfest · 18/12/2020 16:02

Never run with scissors.

blacksax · 18/12/2020 16:03

If you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all.

HugeAckmansWife · 18/12/2020 16:04

Limit the number of fucks you give to single figures per day.

TonTonMacoute · 18/12/2020 16:07

Never eat yellow snow.

AdaColeman · 18/12/2020 16:08

Never try to catch a falling knife.

Do as you would be done by.

OutOnTheFloor · 18/12/2020 16:15

All things must pass

whatwedontknow · 18/12/2020 16:23

If you can’t keep your own secret, don’t expect anyone else to.

LittleBlueRidingBoot · 18/12/2020 16:26

Look after your tyres they are the only thing between you and the road.
