This popped up my fb memories today . This is a letter I got in 2012 from our letting agents.
I don't think I could let this go as easily if I'd received it today

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that letter. It's a timely reminder and a sensible one. Just ignore it if it has no relevance to you. If paying rent after Christmas might be a problem for you, this letter lets you know you must inform them in advance. Very, very sensible.

I agree with you OP, I'd get the rage from that too. I hated renting so much - I paid a fortune for the privilege of living in that flat, but the letting agents never missed an opportunity to remind me it wasn't really mine and I must behave myself.

I would respond to ask why letting agents have to dress like spivs and could they spend less on looking flash and reduce the rent.

Thankfully when I rented no landlord was like that.

Never met a letting agent who wasn't a complete arsehole so not surprised that they would send something like this.

As another poster said perhaps if they spent less money on flashy premises and glossy brochures they might get on better.
