Please help - induction advice

I am 39+4 and today hadn’t felt baby move anywhere near as much/usual pattern. Called labour ward at 9:30pm after a bath/cold drink/lying on my side etc who advised me to go in. All fine on the monitor but then midwife came back and said they would recommend me to be induced. They wanted me to stay tonight but I said no and have now just got home. They are expecting me back at 8:30 tomorrow but I really really dont want an induction. I dont even know if it is an option but could I ring in the morning and say I don’t want to be induced and I will let them know if any further issues with reduced movement? The mw got the doctor to come and see me who was saying things like the risk of stillbirth etc which I know they have to but now I am just so worried I don’t know what to do for the best. The mw did an internal and said they wouldnt be able to break my waters or even do a sweep as cervix is closed so it would be the pessary and 4 hourly monitoring in hospital. Baby is now kicking like mad as I type this 😩

@PocoyoandEllie A contraband McDonalds sounds great 😂 the food at my hospital was horrific 🙈🤣
Fingers crossed labour started for you during the night?! 🤞🏼 If not then baby will be here in no time once your waters are broken 🤞🏼😊

I had two inductions - neither was length.

You may have to be forceful about how you are feeling during the process I.e I am in active labour not just feeling stuff because of the induction process.

I am waiting for the doctor at 10am hopefully. I have had diarrhea all night so I am hopeful that might be me having a clear out 🤞🏻

Fingers crossed OP. I had an induction with mine (only child). She had a few reduced movements but started party central whenever a monitor went on me. I got to 41+1 when I went in, I tried everything to start labour naturally and nothing worked!

I refused a sweep as I was group strep B positive and was paranoid about infection. Pessary went in at 11am, I had a rubbish bishop score and thought I was in for the long haul but DD was born the next morning. I did have a epidural, contractions ramped up at midnight. She was forceps too, all in all exactly the birth I didn't want but as her cord was over her shoulder and being compressed as she came out so they had to move quickly. Thanks to the pain relief though I feel fine about her birth.

She's currently glued to cbeebies Christmas in Storyland - for the millionth time Grin

I have had 2 inductions.

Dc1 was absolutely Brill, so textbook,
Dc2 was horrendous and bloody agony

There are so many variables in it, it is so unpredictable but which ever birth you get, there will be a baby. Congratulations!
