It has been over a year since we were at the cinema due to Covid. The last time we were there was 7th December last year but we can’t remember what we saw!!

Anyone remember what was out around then??

Frozen 2.
I'm sure there was something about dogs as well... Spypups?

EssexGurl · 16/12/2020 16:57

DH/DS saw the Star Wars film.

DD/me saw Frozen 2.

myhobbyisouting · 16/12/2020 17:37

Secret life of pets 2? The Addams family was on last November I think

JingsMahBucket · 16/12/2020 17:52

I saw Jojo Rabbit. It was excellent.

binkyblinky · 16/12/2020 17:57

The last Star Wars!

middleager · 16/12/2020 18:00

We watched Jumanji and Star Wars at Imax.
We are tier 3 and have managed to go the cinema a few times ad drive throughs since March. However, I miss Imax and new releases.

We saw Starwars. Loaded up our cars with 8-9 year olds and took them to the cinema and McDonalds for DS's birthday party. And I though that was a fairly low-key birthday treat...

musicinspring1 · 16/12/2020 18:15

I saw Cats that weekend and actually enjoyed it !!!

Helgathehairy · 16/12/2020 18:38

We saw Frozen 2 as well but going by the prices it was 4 adult tickets. So Star Wars and Frozen 2 was the previous film.

We used to go roughly once a month - sometimes with the kids, mostly just DH and I.

It’s so weird thinking it has been over a year.

Frozen 2?

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 16/12/2020 18:42

Last things we saw at the cinema were Cats and David Copperfield. That must have been around December time.

Rockbird · 16/12/2020 18:50

We went to the cinema last weekend to see Elf. We've been three or four times this year and it's always been fine, very few people, loads of space and very safe feeling.

Nowifi · 16/12/2020 19:49

We saw Sonic in February, was great and all the restaurants were packed! Seems really odd thought now!

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 16/12/2020 19:50

Frozen 2

OxanaVorontsova · 16/12/2020 19:51

We saw little women last December

Marmite27 · 16/12/2020 19:52

The new bad boys

Europilgrim · 16/12/2020 19:54

We saw David Copperfield at the cinema in September. Before that, our prelockdown trips were to see Little Women and Knives Out.

OrangeGinLemonFanta · 16/12/2020 19:54

I saw Just Mercy at the tail end of last year, it was very very good. I saw Star Wars, which was less good, and the Cbeebies Christmas show was on in the cinema too.

It seems odd now that we didn't go to see Frozen 2. The children have developed a serious Frozen habit since we got Disney+.

moglovesmincepies · 16/12/2020 19:54

Frozen 2, Star Wars and then the new bad boys we saw. Bad boys was jan though I think. I really miss the cinema Sad

Friendsoneuptown · 16/12/2020 19:56

Jumanji and Star Wars for us.

Abracadabra12345 · 16/12/2020 19:58

@LionLily

Last Christmas. We watched it on Sky last weekend and reminisced about the old days. I have a backstory of falling asleep in the cinema and did so at this film, waking only after the plot twist was revealed, to see my family all quietly sobbing. Good times.
We saw Last Christmas three times. It got slated by critics but everyone I know irl who saw it, loved it
willsantausesantatize · 16/12/2020 19:59

I miss seeing a film. It's not a cheap night out anymore , but its fun and means I can eat popcorn without anyone judging me!
I hope the cinemas come back soon.
