Okay ladies I bet this has been done to dealth! But I’m helping with the cooking this year (last two years Dd was so little and I was busy with her) and it got me thinking we make every type of potato!

So I’m wondering what’s it like in all your houses 🏡 Xmas Grin

Here’s my list: 🎄🎄🎄

Roast leg of lamb, stuffed with Rosemary, mint and rubbed with an oil concoction, which my sister keeps a secret! Last year was Turkey...
Dolphin while potatoes (I can’t spell it 🤣 so I’m leaving it this way)
Roast potatoes with goose fat
Mashed potatoes with chives and cream butter
New potatoes in garlic butter
Roast peppers
Creamed leeks (so leeks cooked in cream)
Peas sweet corn and onions in a mix
Honey carrots 🥕
Stuffing usually mixed with sausage and home made (traditionally a bit burnt)
Pigs in blankets (always shop bought)
Yorkshire puddings (controversial!)

Okay ladies show some Christmas Spirit, and give us ideas for years to come!

Bet I’ve missed something off my list and will add when I remember it. It’s so much food isn’t it! Madness over one meal lol 😂

Some kind of nut roast
Cauliflower cheese
Yorkshires
Roasties
Parsnips
Red cabbage
Peas
Broccoli
Stuffing
Bread sauce
Gravy

DP will have chicken and pigs in blankets instead of the cauliflower cheese and nut roast.

So far I know we're having steak and some of those dolphin potatoes but haven't decided on the rest.

It is just going to be the four of us so we are going untraditional and having what we like:

All

  • goose fat roast potatoes
  • Yorkshire puddings
-lashings of gravy (I've got a red wine/beef one in the freezer from when we last had roast beef)
  • chorizo pigs in blankets
  • broccoli and honey roast carrots

DC

  • chicken nuggets (I know! But that's what they've asked for)

DH and I

  • steak

DC2 and me

  • cauliflower cheese

Pudding

  • none of us like mince pies, Christmas pudding, Christmas cake etc so I have a salted caramel roulade in the freezer, I may also make a sticky toffee pudding and DH may have trifle.
