Capers?

I randomly decided a while a go i was going to like them even though I never had before. I made a tuna pasta type meal with them and it was lovely. I'm now on my 3rd jar but I'm just eating them out of the jar with a spoon, they're really nice but I'd like to include them in cooking a bit but I dont know how

I don't like capers and pick them out of everything but I went to a restaurant last yearwhere they did them deep fried as a side dish and they were absolutely bloody delicious.

Lots of recipes if you google.

They're great in a puttanesca sauce and sprinkled on a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel.

Put them on pizza

Mix with tuna, onion, mayo and chopped gherkins in a fancy tuna melt sandwich

Chop and mix with butter and use a slice to flavour some fish, eg salmon or cod.

I eat them with a spoon too...

I put them in salads and on pizzas.

Loving the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel suggestion, I have stuff in to make one of those for lunch. Thanks everyone

You keep them in a jar in the fridge that you never use, and finally throw them out about three years later when you realise you have no use for them Wink

Chop them with chives, lemon juice and olive oil,( like a rough pesto) , warm over grilled fish.
Zesty salsa thing.

Caponata - a delicious Sicilian thing a bit like ratatouille.

They are lovely with fish. Butter and capers on top of grilled fish. It's a classic with Dover sole. If you have leftover white fish mash it with Mayo, capers, a bit of chive or spring onion, a squeeze of lemon juice and some chilli, if that's your thing. That's great on toast. It's also good in a normal tuna Mayo.

Someone has already said puttanesca sauce for pasta.

I also eat them with a spoon out of the jar.
